Jim Smith has played the steel guitar for many years and was one of the original designers and builders of the Dekley pedal steel guitar. He has backed many well-known artists, including Bobby Wayne, formerly of Merle Haggard's band.
Hobbies:
Jim likes to play music, ride his Harley (preferably with a female companion on back), is a computer programmer by day and in his off time likes to mess around with electronic music-related gadgets and just loves to have a good time.
Instruments:
Jim alternates between 3-steel guitars. A Dekley, Emmons and a Fessenden. He uses a IVL Steelrider MiDi and a Stereo Steel amp.
